Meet Rich

I’m Rich Barnett, and I run REB Works.

I served 20 years on active duty in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Chief Information Systems Technician (ITC, E-7).

Since 2017 I’ve worked as a Department of Defense contractor. I manage SharePoint sites and hubs used by every department in the organization. I build Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Power BI reports and Access databases. The systems I’ve built include inventory tracking, training records, counseling programs and family support.

REB Works brings that same work to businesses: forms that replace paper, approvals that route themselves, dashboards that show where things stand, and AI that takes on the busywork while a person still signs off. Most of what I build runs in Microsoft 365, because that’s where many businesses already are. If yours runs on something else, I’ll work with what you have.

I hold CompTIA Security+ and complete DoD security training every year. I set systems up so people get only the access they need.

If your company does government contract work, I know how those organizations run. I can build the document control, deadline tracking and reporting that goes with it.

How we think about AI

AI is good at reading, sorting, summarising and drafting. It is not a replacement for judgment. So we design every workflow with a clear point where a person checks the work, and we start small enough that you can see whether it’s worth it.
